Integrative Therapeutics’ Similase is used to promote proper digestion and a healthy digestive tract. Similase is a combination of plant enzymes that support the complete digestion of nutrients like carbohydrates‚ proteins‚ and fats. The plant enzymes used in Similase are different than most enzymes because unlike most animal-derived or naturally occurring enzymes‚ they’re able to work in the stomach‚ instead of just in the small intestine like non-plant enzymes. Similase contains a number of enzymes‚ each of which has specific beneficial functions. Some of the enzymes‚ such as protease and amylase‚ are normally produced by your body naturally. Unfortunately‚ your body may not produce sufficient levels of these enzymes if you have a poorly functioning pancreas. If your pancreas produces too little protease‚ it’ll allow undigested protein into the intestinal tract‚ which may result in uncomfortable digestive problems.
