Best for bigger-picture immune insights and finding multiple triggers that may be driving chronic inflammation.
Common situations where it’s helpful:
-
Ongoing fatigue, brain fog, and body aches – may involve neurological, muscle, gut, or skin symptoms.
-
Skin and joint flares – eczema, hives, unexplained rashes, or joint stiffness without autoimmune markers.
-
Recurring migraines or sinus congestion tied to food intake.
-
Digestive issues in children with behavioral changes – often noted in ADHD or autism spectrum.
-
Women with cyclical symptoms – mood shifts, bloating, or skin breakouts linked to hormonal changes.
-
Lingering post-viral symptoms – such as after COVID, with fatigue, palpitations, brain fog, and gut changes.
Why this matters:
Total IgG can spot foods that might be fueling systemic inflammation — reactions that affect multiple areas of the body.
Why this matters:
IgG4 helps uncover localized immune reactions that Total IgG might not highlight, guiding more precise food elimination.
Check with you
Total IgG = a wide-angle lens for finding multiple triggers behind chronic, body-wide inflammation.
IgG4 = a close-up lens for identifying food reactions in specific tissues or organ systems.

Medications and Precautions
Medications such as antihistamines, methotrexate, tricyclic antidepressants, H2-receptor antagonists (e.g., ranitidine, cimetidine), proton-pump inhibitors, and over-the-counter pain and fever reducers do not interfere with the accuracy of the ELISA test method.
Immune suppressive medications (e.g.: prednisone) or a weakened immune system (e.g.: due to chemotherapy) may result in the inability to mount an antibody response to varying degrees, resulting in lower values.
This medication list is not inclusive. Please discuss your medications with your healthcare practitioner. Some practitioners may advise their patients to discontinue certain medications for a period of time depending on their practice and experience.
