ENDUR-AMIDE® features niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide) in a proprietary vegetable-based wax matrix. The wax-matrix delivery system ensures a gradual, measured release of niacinamide over a 5 to 7 hour period. ENDUR-AMIDE® niacinamide is an amide form of nicotinic acid (niacin). The two forms share many of the same functions in the body, but nicotinic acid is the doctor-preferred form to support heart health and cholesterol balance. By contrast, niacinamide is the preferred form for skin health, healthy cell division, and other healthy aging benefits.
ENDUR-AMIDE® helps activate biochemical pathways responsible for cellular energy production and plays a central role in helping to maintain healthy DNA: the genetic blueprint found in all cells. It helps to activate hundreds of enzymes involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fatty acids, and amino acids as well as in the synthesis of fatty acids, steroids, hormones, and numerous other bioactive compounds.
ENDUR-AMIDE® works by providing a biochemical building block for your body to produce nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), the active form of niacin. In this form, niacinamide not only plays a role in cellular metabolism and DNA repair, but also helps combat oxidative stress and promotes a healthy inflammatory response. Neurons are particularly sensitive to NAD balance. By influencing levels of NAD within neurons, nicotinamide may play a key role in promoting healthy neuron function.
